Zumbro earns CoSIDA Academic All-District honors

Zanesville, Ohio native awarded for excellence on the track and in the classroom
MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State track and field's Karlie Zumbro was named to the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 5 first team.
In order to be eligible for the annual award, a student-athlete must be a key contributor with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) at their current institution and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's events.
Zumbro recently graduated with a 3.878 GPA in exercise science and competed in all indoor and outdoor meets this season.
In her final year as a Cardinal, Zumbro repeated as the Mid-American Conference outdoor champion in the heptathlon after setting the conference record with 5,403 points in the competition. She received all-conference recognition in both the indoor and outdoor seasons during the 2021-22 campaign.
The Zanesville, Ohio native was also awarded the MAC Medal of Excellence for her efforts in the classroom, competition and community.
