Women’s Basketball Welcomes Hana Muhl to Its 2022 Roster
April 30, 2022 | Women's Basketball
MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's basketball team welcomes Hana Muhl from Croatia to its 2022-23 women's basketball roster.
"As soon as we saw Hana open her recruiting back up, our eyes lit up," Ball State head women's basketball coach Brady Sallee said. "She brings the toughness, competitiveness, and skill that you are looking for as you are building a squad. Hana will be able to play multiple spots for us and will thrive in our up-tempo, 5-out, offensive system! Cardinal fans will love watching and getting to know this hardworking and coachable young lady. We are excited to welcome her to Ball State!"
This European standout has been selected to four Croatian National Teams (U14-U16-U18). Muhl's career overseas has been highlighted by two U19 National Championships in 2021 and 2019 while also leading her squad to that exact title again in 2019 as a member of the U17 team.
Muhl has received individual honors such as All-Star Five in 2021 and 2020. She was named a Blue Star 30 Europe participant in 2019 along with being tabbed the Most Valuable Player of the U17 WABA League Championship that same season.
This season, Muhl averaged 12.9 points per game, 4.8 assists, 5.6 rebounds and 2.0 steals as she helped her team earned the 2022 National Cup.
Muhl joins recent signees Sydney Shafer (Albion, Mich.), Alex Richard (Avon, Ind.) and Sydney Bolden (Loganville, Ga./Loganville High) to play for the Cardinals next season.
