Gymnastics Places Nine on Academic All-MAC Squad

CLEVELAND - - The Ball State gymnastics program placed nine student-athletes on the 2022 Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team as announced by the league office.

Of the Cardinals' nine honorees, seniors Sandra Elsadek and Stefanie Schweikert both earned the honor for the third time in their careers.

Ball State had four student-athletes earn the honor for the second time: junior Grace Evans, senior Marissa Nychyk, junior Megan Teter, and senior Lauren Volpe.

Rounding out the list were three first-time selections in sophomores Hannah Ruthberg and Kelly Sulek, along with junior Taylor Waldo.

A total of 62 student-athletes earned the Academic All-MAC distinction in gymnastics by maintaining at least a 3.2 GPA and participating in at least half of the team's contests for the season. First-year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
