Quartermaine Named One of Collegiate Baseball’s National Players of the Week

TUSCON, Ariz. – Collegiate Baseball announced its weekly National Players of the Week awards presented by Diamond on Monday. Trenton Quartermaine was selected as one of the National Players of the Week after an outstanding week at the plate for Ball State.
Quartermaine produced four-straight games with a home run last week. He hit four homers with four runs scored, and five RBIs as he went 7-for-19 at the plate for a .368 batting average. He was the only Cardinal hitter to not strikeout for the week. He produced a staggering 1.053 slugging percentage. He was solid defensively as well, as he posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage on 20 chances.
Ball State begins Mid-American Conference play on Friday, March 11, as Eastern Michigan comes to Muncie for a four-game series. The home opener on Friday is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start time.
