Schweitzer Named MAC Co-Pitcher of the Week

CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference announced its weekly Player and Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday. Tyler Schweitzer was named the MAC Co-Pitcher of the Week after a stellar outing on the mound for Ball State.
Tyler Schweitzer threw a gem on Monday. He picked up his fourth win of the season behind a career-high 11 strikeouts in just 5.2 innings of work. He surrendered just three hits and did not give up any runs. Schweitzer currently leads the MAC with 12.53 strikeouts per nine innings.
The Cardinals are scheduled to return to action on Friday, April 1, for game one of a four-game series at Toledo.
