Deans’ Shootout Set For Halftime of February 15 Men’s Basketball Game

MUNCIE, Ind. - The sixth edition of the Cardinal Deans' Shootout will take place at halftime of the Ball State-Northern Illinois men's basketball game scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 15th, inside Worthen Arena. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
Deans, along with the provost, will partner with a student and try to connect on as many free throws as possible during the timed intermission contest. The duo with the most combined free throws made will be crowned champion and hoist the coveted traveling trophy which will be defended by reigning champ, Teachers College.
"This is one of our favorite events during each basketball season," director of athletics Beth Goetz said. "We missed seeing this group together last season because of Covid-19 impact but can't wait to have these leaders and their student shooters help bring our campus together through sport once again."
It is Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night and Scholar-Athlete Recognition Night, too. Any fan wishing to attend the game may purchase specially-priced tickets by calling 888-BSU-TICKET / 765-285-1474 and mentioning Deans' Shootout or clicking here.
