Gallagher Leads Cardinals, Ball State tied for 10th

INDIANAPOLIS – The Ball State women's golf team returned to the course on Monday to compete at the Butler Fall Invitational on the Highland Golf & Country Club. Sarah Gallagher led the Cardinals and is tied for sixth.
During the opening round, Ball State collected four birdies, contributing to their total tally of 323 (+42). Ball State was tied for 12th going into round two. The Cardinals moved up in the rankings after a stronger performance in the second round. They added two more birdies and an eagle, finishing the day tied for 10th with a score of 637 (+77).
Gallagher was tied for sixth after the first round with a score of 75 (+5). She notched one birdie on the front nine. She maintained her momentum in the second round scoring a 76 (+6), bringing her total for the day to 151 (+11).
Jasmine Driscoll collected one birdie on the front nine to give her a tally of 83 (+13) after the opening round, leaving her tied for 68th going into round 2. Her strong performance in the second round boosted her placement. She ended the day tied for 34th with a total tally of 159 (+19).
Payton Bennett, who competed as an individual, notched one birdie in the opening round. She finished round one with a score of 79 (+9). Bennett tallied an 81 (+11) in round two. She is tied for 42nd heading into day two.
Madelin Boyd and Peyton Broce finished round two tied for 66th. Boyd tallied two birdies on the day. They each ended the day with a score of 154 (+14).
Paige Hillman is tied for 81st. She recorded two birdies and an eagle on the back nine in round two.
The final round will begin at a 9 a.m. with a shotgun start on Tuesday. Live results can be found here.
