WVB's Risi Named MAC West Offensive Player of the Week

CLEVELAND - - After leading the Ball State women's volleyball team with 24 kills and a 3.43 kills-per-set average in a two-match weekend sweep of Eastern Michigan, senior outside Natalie Risi has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Offensive Player of the Week.
Risi, who is now a three-time career MAC West Offensive Player of the Week award winning, scored 12 kills in each match, while hitting .476 (12-2-21) in Saturday's sweep and .257 (12-3-35) in Friday's four-set win.
She also finished the weekend ranked ninth in the MAC with a .339 (24-5-56) attack percentage, while averaging 2.71 digs per set. Risi collected her seventh double-double of the season in Friday's win over EMU, registering 14 digs to go along with her 12 kills.
Risi and the Ball State women's volleyball team returns to action Friday, when it hosts Akron for a 6 p.m. first serve in Worthen Arena.
