
WBB’s Kiefer Becomes Third Incoming Freshman To Be Named An All-Star

MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State women's basketball 2021 signee Marie Kiefer (Melbourne, Ky./Bishop Brossart) has been named a Kentucky All-Star, becoming the third incoming BSU freshman selected for the annual Indiana-Kentucky All-Star series.
Kiefer's future teammates Ally Becki (Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg) and Madelyn Bischoff (Indianapolis, Ind./Roncalli) were tabbed All-Stars for the state of Indiana in March. Kiefer will compete against Becki and Bischoff on June 11 in Kentucky and June 12 at Southport Fieldhouse.
Kiefer is the first player from Brossart to be named a Kentucky All-Star since 2001. A second-team all-region selection, she helped Brossart win its 10th Region All "A" girls title this past season with an overall record of 21-6. She wrapped up her senior year averaging 19.6 points and 11.0 rebounds per game for the Mustangs.
The future Cardinal was voted the 10th Region Player of the Year and Division II Player of the Year by the coaches in Northern Kentucky for the last two seasons.
Entering her senior season, Kiefer was ranked as one of the top 250 best high school players in the country for the class of 2021 according to The Collegiate Girls Basketball Report.
She ended her career with the Mustangs having scored over 1,000 points for her career.
