Gym Cards Sign Erica Cooper

Erica Cooper has signed to join the Ball State gymnastics program beginning in the 2021-22 school year.Â
"I chose Ball State because of how welcoming and loving the coaches are and how they want to push you to be the best version of yourself as an all-around person not just a gymnast," Cooper said. "The team has a great relationship and cares about each other and wants each other to succeed and the campus is beautiful!"
Cooper, a native of Knoxville, Tennessee, competed for Premier Athletics Knoxville North and qualified for regionals and nationals every year. She has a 9.8 floor score and placed first on floor five times in the last year at Level 10. She placed third all-around at the Tenneessee in March 2021.
Cooper attended Berean Christian School, where she was an honor roll student all four years and a National Honor Society member. She plans to study kinesiology at BSU in hopes to become a physician's assistant. She's the daughter of Melanie and Eric Cooper and has an older brother who plays college baseball.Â
