Cards Track & Field Adds Payton Barlow

Ball State track & field has added graduate transfer Payton Barlow to its roster for next year. Barlow is a sprinter who has been a standout in the 400m race for Belmont University.
A native of White House, Tennessee, Barlow was the Ohio Valley Conference 400m runner-up with a school-record time 55.91. She was also second place in the 600m race at Kentucky in 2020 and was sixth in the 400m race at Vanderbilt.Â
Barlow's other top times include 25.38 in the 200m, 55.79 in the 400m and 1:35.08 in the 600m. In high school, she was a three-time Team MVP and twice selected County Female Athlete of the Year.
Barlow will begin competing for Ball State during the indoor season in 2022.Â
