
More Honors Roll In For El-Amin

After earning all-conference honors for the second straight year, Ishmael El-Amin continues to earn recognition for a strong senior year at Ball State. He was recently voted second team All-District 14 by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).Â
El-Amin, who scored 1,083 career points in four seasons at Ball State, was also selected second team All-MAC just before last week's conference tournament. He was a third-team honoree last season as a junior.Â
The Minneapolis native averaged a career-best 16.2 points per game to go along with averages of 3.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.4 steals. He went for a career-high 33 points late in the regular season against Central Michigan and had 11 outings with 18 or more points. El-Amin started all 23 games this season and all 54Â over the past two years in the BSU backcourt.
