Huber Named MAC West Defensive Player of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - - Thanks to an impressive 7.00 digs-per-set average in last week's series at Toledo, Ball State sophomore libero Maggie Huber has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Defensive Player of the Week.
Huber collected a career-high 35 digs in Thursday's five-set loss at Toledo, and tied the mark Friday in leading the Cardinals to a five-set victory. She also tied her career high with four aces in Friday's win, while finishing the two-match series with six.
With the 70 total digs over 10 sets, Huber climbed atop the MAC defensive rankings and into fourth nationally with a 6.26 digs-per-set average for the season. Huber also handed out 11 assists in the series versus Toledo, while logging a .932 (41-for-44) reception percentage.
