Fifth-year wide receiver totaled 162 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns at Eastern Michigan
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Ball State wide receiver Justin Hall was selected to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll following his performance in a win at Eastern Michigan, the Louisville Sports Commission announced Monday.
The Douglasville, Ga. native totaled 162 all-purpose yards and had two touchdowns in a 38-31 victory for the Cardinals Saturday afternoon.
Hall had 85 return yards on four returns, 58 receiving yards on 10 catches and 19 yards on the ground on five carries. He scored both of his touchdowns on jet sweeps from one and two yards out.
After seven weeks of games in the 2021 season, Hall is averaging 144.7 all-purpose yards per game, good for eighth-most in the country and first in the Mid-American Conference. Hall is second in the country in average all-purpose yards among players who have logged at least one yard through rushing, receiving, punt return and kickoff return.
The Louisville Sports Commission successfully launched the Paul Hornung Award in 2010 to honor its namesake and native son, and to promote outstanding performances by versatile college football players who often go unnoticed. Each week during the regular season, a panel of college football experts selects players for the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll based on performance. A national selection committee comprised of 17 sports journalists and former NFL stars votes for the Hornung Award finalists and the winner, with fan voting powered by Texas Roadhouse comprising the 18th vote. Ball State returns to action Saturday, Oct. 23 when it hosts Miami for its annual Homecoming game. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET inside Scheumann Stadium.
