Watchalong: 2012 Football Beats USF

Snead, Patterson Secured BCS Victory Late
Roll Call!
We got the band back together for a watch party! Ball State All-Access sat down with nine players from the 2012 and 2013 football teams to take a look back at some of the best moments from those seasons.
Over a two-year span the Cardinals went 19-7 (13-3 in conference) and qualified for the Beef 'O' Brady's and GoDaddy Bowls. The two teams included no fewer than a dozen players that went on to appear in NFL or CFL camps and the Ball State record books are littered with performances from the period.

In 2013 Ball State traveled to Charlottesville to take on ACC foe UVa. The Cards had never beaten an ACC opponent, in fact, they had only played two in the prior eight seasons (Boston College and Clemson), falling by a combined 90-27. This time, however, would be much different.
Facing one of the nation's top defenses at the time, Ball State carved up the Cavaliers in a 48-27 thrashing. The Cardinals went back and forth with the Wahoos before blowing the game open in the second half and racking up seven of the day's final nine scores. Keith Wenning passed for 346 yards and eclipsed the school's career passing record while Jahwan Edwards collected Ball State's career rushing TD's mark on his third TD.
Watchalong Episode 2Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â September 22, 2012 vs. South Florida
In 2011 Ball State opened the season with a massive win over Indiana at Lucas Oil Stadium. That excitement would be stunted a bit, though, when the Cardinals traveled to Tampa and fell to No. 22 USF 37-7 the next week. Oh but what a difference a year makes. In 2012, USF made a return trip to Muncie and ran into Willie Snead, Eric Patterson and a confident Cardinals bunch.
Ball State scored on five of its seven offensive drives against the Bulls, led by 11 receptions from Florida native Snead. The sophomore's final grab was a miraculous TD that put BSU in front for good. Patterson, also a Florida product, sealed the win with an interception of BJ Daniels on the game's final play.
