MUNCIE, Ind. - - For the second straight season, and third time in six years, the Ball State women's volleyball program boasts one of the nation's top recruiting classes according to PrepVolleyball.com.
The Cardinals' four-member incoming freshman class has been listed as one of 40 earning "Honorable Mention" accolades according to the website, which places the group among the nation's top 100 recruiting classes.
Set to join the program in the fall of 2020 are Zoe Conway (New Castle, Ind./New Castle), Lauren Gilliland (Coldwater, Ohio/Coldwater), Cait Snyder (Hamilton, Ind./Angola) and Kate Vinson (Yorktown, Ind./Yorktown).
Ball State is one of three programs from the Mid-American Conference to be ranked inside the top 100, joined by Buffalo and Western Michigan who were also named to the "Honorable Mention" list.
Last season, Ball State's nine-member incoming freshman class earned "Highest Honorable Mention" accolades according to the website. The group helped guide the program to a 20-12 overall record, its third consecutive MAC West Division title, its first MAC Tournament title since 2002 and its first NCAA Tournament berth since 2011.
Ball State's 2015 incoming class was also named to the "Highest Honorable Mention" list, with members of the group capping their four-year playing careers by helping lead the Cardinals to back-to-back MAC West Division championships and a berth into the 2018 National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC).
