Cardinal Check-In: Soccer

During the coming weeks, Ball State All-Access will be conducting regular #CardinalCheckIn interviews with current and former student-athletes to find out how they're getting through the current COVID-19 quarantine period.

Ball State soccer was able to complete much of its spring season, at least the training sessions, before COVID-19 precautions closed down athletics. The Cardinals still had several spring games on the docket but did play in one game, defeating Huntington 10-0, after completing several weeks of practice and conditioning.

Tatiana Mason and Shelby Kean sat down with All-Access to talk about the difficulty of the team's at-home workouts, how much shape they were able to get into before heading home, how they're spending quarantine, motivations to capture the MAC crown this fall and Shelby's birthday while stuck at home.

Ball State won 15 games in the fall of 2019, going 9-2 in MAC action and continuing to be the hallmark of consistency in the MAC over the last decade.
