Ball State catcher was hitting .400 when season halted

Softball catcher Stacy Payton was putting together a Player-of-the-Year season for the MAC-leading Cardinals before 2020 was stopped in its tracks. The first Cardinal to hit .400 in six seasons, Payton finished the year ranked fifth in average, first in slugging, fifth in runs, first in hits, first in homers, first in RBI, and first in doubles among her league peers. The junior was able to do all of that while also making the most difficult position switch possible, stepping behind the plate.

All-Access checked in with Payton to talk about her season and how she's keeping busy while back home in Brazil, Ind..
