Live Scoring    Social Media   Ball State FacebookAfter a school-record performance on the road last week, Sunday is Ball State's final meet in Worthen Arena this year. It's the final home meet for seniors Maddie MacDonald, Bri Slonim and Rachel Benoit and serves as a showdown between two teams fighting for position in the national standings.
BSU, a 195.800 team in a win at NIU last weekend, is shooting for another high score to improve its National Qualifying Score (NQS). Ball State has been powered by standout routines on vault (24th in the nation) and floor exercise (28th nationally). North Carolina, is 38th with a 195.240 NQS and is trying to score high to break into the national top 36.Â
BALL STATE SEASON STATS (PDF)
Claudia Goyco, a four-time MAC Specialist of the Week winner, is the conference's top floor performer with an NQS of 9.885. As a team, Ball State is the league's best floor squad. Ball State is the second best vault team, with three of the top six vaulters in the league being Cardinals. North Carolina's Kharia Hizlop is a standout on both vault (1st in the EAGL) and floor (2nd in the EAGL).
There will be a senior presentation after the meet and BSU welcomes all of its former campers and class participants to join in Sunday's fun.
