Cooking fundraiser to benefit Muncie youth
Ball State baseball coach Rich Maloney is cooking for early childhood education. The Cardinals' skipper is participating in the local YMCA fundraiser 100 Men Who Cook, an event held at the Horizon Convention Center on Saturday, Nov. 2.
Maloney will be making one of his personal favorites, cowboy stew, a spicy ground beef dish with vegetables that he learned how to make on a baseball trip to Dallas, Texas.Â
At the event each chef creatively decorates his serving station while wearing a costume in an effort to entice the crowd of friends, family and fellow community members to try his meal. The 100 chefs compete for prizes and to raise money for local childhood education.
