
Ball State Athletics Expands Strength & Conditioning Staff

MUNCIE, Ind.– Harry Gilbert has joined the Ball State Athletics Department in a newly created full-time role as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.
Gilbert will assist Director of Strength and Conditioning Ben Armer with the football team while also utilizing his expertise with other varsity teams.
"We are very fortunate to have coach Gilbert joining our strength and conditioning staff at Ball State," Armer said. "In a short time, he has gained great knowledge and experience from some of the best professionals in our industry. Coach Gilbert will have an immediate impact on our student-athletes in all areas of human performance."
Gilbert spent the previous year at Texas where he was an intern on the Longhorns football strength and conditioning staff. Prior to his time at UT, Gilbert served two years as a graduate teaching assistant at Baylor. There he was a weight training instructor and earned his master's degree in exercise physiology in 2018.
He completed his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Appalachian State in 2015. Gilbert is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Level 1 certified United State of America Weightlifting (USAW) Sport Performance Coach, Level 1 and Level 2 Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR) Certified and a Certified Sport Nutritionist (CISSN).
