Drey Jameson Earns MAC Pitcher Of The Week Honor

Sophomore threw 6.0 no-hit innings vs. Stanford
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Sophomore Drey Jameson was named the Mid-American Conference Pitcher of the Week after his performance on Friday against #12 Stanford. Following a standout freshman season, Jameson came out strong in the first game of the season.

The right-hander helped the Cardinals battle the nationally-ranked Stanford team in a 2-1 loss to open the 2019 season. Jameson tossed 6.0 no-hit innings, striking out nine and walking just two.Â

Jameson has now been honored twice as the MAC Pitcher of the Week throughout his college career. Jameson was 7-2 last year, earning the 2018 MAC Freshman Pitcher of the Year award and being voted first team all-conference.

Ball State (1-3) is back in action this weekend at Alabama. The Cardinals then travel to Charleston to take on Charleston Southern and Notre Dame the first weekend in March before a spring break to Florida.
