Potts Named MAC Offensive Player of the Week
October 29, 2019 | Soccer
MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State soccer's Nicky Potts has been named Offensive Player of the Week by the Mid-American Conference after an impressive pair of performances to lift the Cardinals to a 2-0 week.
Potts continues to be a force in conference play as she scored another game winner in overtime against Ohio Sunday, as well as a goal against Kent State Thursday. Potts is up to eight goals and 18 points for the season, both team highs for Ball State. Her five game winners are tied for the most in the MAC. Potts recorded four shots for the week and put all of them on goal while scoring twice.
Potts' play is a big reason the Cardinals have clinched home field advantage for the MAC Quarterfinals, and are still in the hunt for a share of the regular season title. Ball State's regular season finale is Thursday at Miami with the quarterfinals scheduled for Sunday.
