Four Ball State Baseball Players Named to Academic All-MAC Squad

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its 2018 Baseball Academic All-MAC Team Thursday afternoon and four Ball State players made the list.
The Cardinals who made the list were:
T.J. Baker, Ball State, R-Jr., 3.78 GPA, Biology
Colin Brockhouse, Ball State, Sr., 3.409 GPA, Exercise Science
Nick Floyd, Ball State, Jr., 3.491 GPA, Finance
Griffin Hulecki, Ball State, R-Jr., 3.229 GPA, Entrepreneurial Management
Baker, Brockhouse and Floyd each qualified for the Academic All-MAC team last year as well. Brockhouse was one of three Cardinals to earn his bachelor's degree in May.
The Academic All-MAC honor recognizes student-athletes who have excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
Ball State wrapped up the 2018 season with a 32-26 record and finished tied for second in the MAC standings with a 17-10 ledger.
