Three Women’s Volleyball Players Graduate with MAC Presidential Honors

MUNCIE, Ind. - - Bailey Baumer, Jessica Lindsey and Sabrina Mangapora of the Ball State women's volleyball program graduated Saturday from Ball State University as recipients of the Mid-American Conference Presidential Award.
"I am so proud of these ladies for all they have achieved on and off the court," head coach Kelli Miller said. "They have represented Ball State women's volleyball extremely well and have been great role models to our underclassmen; showing what it takes to be successful student-athletes. I look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the future"
The MAC Presidential Award recognizes graduating senior student-athletes who have achieved a 3.5 minimum accumulative grade-point average. Only those student-athletes whose eligibility is exhausted are eligible for this award.
Bailey Baumer - Nursing Major - 3.771 GPA
A four-year letterwinner for the Cardinals, Bailey Baumer played in 83 matches over her collegiate career. A three-time Academic All-MAC honoree, Baumer was also named a 2016 MAC Women's Volleyball Distinguished Scholar Athlete. A defensive specialist for the Cardinals in 2017, Baumer logged a season-high 11 digs in Ball State's wins at Kent State (Oct. 13) and versus Western Michigan (Nov. 11). She finished her career with 299 digs and 49 kills, including career highs of 18 digs and 15 kills.
Jessica Lindsey - Public Relations Major - 3.757 GPA
A three-year letterwinner for the Cardinals, Jessica Lindsey played in 67 matches over her collegiate career. A two-time Academic All-MAC selection, Lindsey blasted a career-high 14 kills in the senior night victory over Eastern Michigan (Oct. 28). Lindsey also turned up her backcourt play late in the season, earning a career high seven digs versus Toledo (Nov. 2) and Western Michigan (Nov. 17). She finished her career with 242 kills, 88 digs and 74 total blocks.
Sabrina Mangapora - Medical Preparation Major - 3.971 GPA
A two-year letterwinner for the Cardinals, Sabrina Mangapora transitioned from student athlete to student coach this season due to injury. A Second Team All-MAC and MAC All-Freshman Team selection in 2014, Mangapora is also a two-time MAC Women's Volleyball Distinguished Scholar Athlete and Academic All-MAC honoree. She played in 61 matches over her two-year playing career, smashing 645 kills and tallying 86 total blocks. She owns career-highs of 22 kills, 11 digs and six total blocks.
