Regan Lewis Places Fourth in High Jump at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.-- Junior Regan Lewis took fourth in the high jump at the Penn Relays to lead the Ball State track & field team Saturday on its final day of competition before the 2018 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

The defending MAC outdoor champion in the high jump, Lewis successfully cleared the bar at a height of 1.74m to take fourth on the podium.

Lewis enters the conference meet, which will be hosted by Buffalo May 10-12, as the favorite to defend her title with a season and MAC-best clearance of 1.79m set last weekend at the War Eagle Challenge hosted by Auburn.

Ball State's student-athletes also competed in three events at the Hillsdale "GINA" Relays Saturday, with freshman Princess Carter's third-place and career-best throw of 44.30m in the discus leading the group.
