Macon, Ga. - The Ball State University women's tennis team closed its spring break action in Georgia when it posted a 6-1 victory over Mercer Wednesday afternoon to improve its overall record to 7-4 on the season.
For the second straight match, the Cardinals took the doubles point from the Bears earning wins on courts one and two. Mercer took the first match from Ball State but Peyton Gollhofer and Lilya Hadab quickly fought back for the Cardinals to even doubles play with a 7-5 win over Lucia Gutierrez and Marie Mottet at the No. 3 spot. The top court then clinched the point for Ball State after Julia Sbircea and teammate Isabelle Dohanics took down the Bears Celine Schepers and Grace Korta, 6-4.
