Football Spring Practice Is One Week Away

MUNCIE, Ind. – It may be Spring Break this week for students at Ball State, but come next week spring practice begins for the Ball State football team. The first of 15 spring practices is scheduled for Thursday, March 15 at 8:30 a.m.
Weekday practices will run from 8:30 to 10:45 a.m., while Saturday practice times are slated for 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. All practices will be held at Scheumann Stadium and are open to the public.
The annual Spring Game is set for Saturday, April 14 at 11 a.m. For the complete spring practice schedule, click here.
The Cardinals are in their third season under the direction of head coach Mike Neu. Ball State has nine offensive starters and seven defensive starters returning from the 2017 roster. Key returnees include redshirt junior quarterback Riley Neal, all-conference running back James Gilbert, ESPN.com Freshman All-America wide receiver Justin Hall, all-purpose and all-league standout Malik Dunner, and junior linebacker Jacob White.
Ball State opens its 2018 fall schedule with a Thursday night home contest against Central Connecticut State on Aug. 30.
