Cardinals Drop Final Regular Season Meet at Central

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.,-- The Cardinals fought through much adversity during their last meet of the regular season at Central Michigan Thursday evening. Ball State stood behind Central Michigan with a 195.125, while CMU stood victorious with a 196.175.
"I'm really proud of the fact that everyone stepped up when we had unexpected injuries," head coach Joanna Saleem stated. "It is never easy to compete when teammates get hurt, but our seniors really stepped up and kept the team focused."
The team started on bars. Jordyn Penny performed a solid set scoring a 9.850 landing her in third place.
Arden Hudson and Bri Slonim both scored 9.825 tying in second place. In fifth place Sydney Finke stood with a 9.800.
On floor Tia Kiaku and Kaitlyn Menzione stood together in second place with a 9.850. Both Baylee Bell and Sydney Finke claimed fifth with 9.800's.
The team finished on beam where Baylee Bell notched fourth place with a 9.800.
The Cardinals prepare to return to Central Michigan for the Mid-American Conference Saturday, Mar. 24 at 2 p.m. EST.
