Two More Student-Athletes Set to Join Ball State Football Team in 2018
February 07, 2018 | Football
MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State football team added 18 student-athletes during the early signing period in December and supplemented the class with two additions today – Patrick LeCorre and Shannon Hall. Head coach Mike Neu announced that these 20 student-athletes would join the Cardinal program beginning this spring or next academic year.
Both student-athletes who signed today will have two years left to play at the collegiate level. LeCorre, hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, spent the previous two seasons serving as the kicker and punter at Eastern Arizona College. He made six field goals in 2017, including a long of 53 yards, which ranked first nationally in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). He also connected on the game-winning field goal with 11 seconds remaining against Phoenix in 2016.
Hall, a defensive end from Indianapolis, Indiana, spent his first two collegiate seasons at the College of DuPage in Illinois. He led the team with 11.5 tackles for loss as a sophomore and also registered two fumble recoveries returned for touchdowns during his freshman campaign. Hall was a team captain for both the football and basketball teams at Speedway High School.
