Baseball’s Meet the Team Night is This Saturday

MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State baseball coach Rich Maloney has announced that Jim Stanley, retired executive vice president and chief operating officer at NiSource Inc., and former CEO at NIPSCO, will serve as the keynote speaker at the baseball team's annual 'Meet the Team Night' on Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Ball State Alumni Center.
Stanley, originally from Portage, Indiana, earned his bachelor's degree from Ball State in 1977 and also played on the Cardinals baseball team. As the team's starting shortstop, Stanley led the squad in fielding assists and ranked fourth in runs scored as a senior.
The 'Meet the Team' event will kick off with an autograph session in the Alumni Center lobby from 5 to 6 p.m., with free posters for the first 300 kids in attendance.
A social hour with silent auction will follow at 6 p.m., with dinner scheduled for 7 p.m. The team will be introduced after dinner and award winners from the 2017 season will be honored.
Cost for the event is $20 for youths (18 and under) and $55 per adult. Additional prices for couples, table sponsors and player meal sponsors are also available. Click here to register on-line.

The Cardinals' 2018 season opener is slated for Friday, Feb. 16 against UMass Lowell in Charleston, South Carolina as part of the Shipyard Classic.
