Women’s Golf Climbs Three Spots on Final Day at BC

Manon Tounalom paces Cardinals with second top-15 finish
CANTON, Mass. -- The Ball State women's golf team moved up three spots Monday to finish the Boston College Intercollegiate in 10th place.
Senior Morgan Nadaline led the way with a 76 in the final round at Blue Hill Country Club. Junior Manon Tounalom closed with a 77 to finish as the top Ball State player on the leaderboard in a tie for 15th place at 227 (+11) for 54 holes. It was her second top-15 result through three events.
The Cardinals also counted an 81 from Liz Kim and an 82 from Sydney Anderson in Monday's final round. With a team score of 316 for the day, BSU concluded the event with a total of 941 (+77) to jump ahead of Wofford, Fairleigh Dickinson and USC Upstate.
Richmond (+23) expanded its overnight lead to win the team championship by 11 shots over tournament host Boston College (+34). Georgetown (+39) grabbed third place in the field of 16 teams.
Elsa Diaz of Richmond claimed individual medalist honors at 1 over par for the three rounds, edging 36-hole co-leader Heather Munro of Elon by one stroke.
Nadaline and Kim were the next Ball State players on the individual leaderboard after Tounalom, tying for 47th place with scores of 238 (+22).
Ball State will return to action Oct. 6-8 at Kentucky's Bettie Lou Evans Invitational. The event, which will be played at the University Club of Kentucky in Lexington, is the first of back-to-back events in the state of Kentucky to close out BSU's fall schedule.
