Looking back at the WKU game …
"Our defense did a really good job in the first half of keeping us in the game until [our] offense got on track in the second half and was able to put some points on the board."
On dealing with several injuries heading into the WKU game …
"There were a lot of things that happened later in the week. That was the biggest challenge for us, but you have to give all of our guys credit that are in a back-up type role for keeping themselves mentally prepared."
On Jack Milas stepping into the quarterback role …
"Jack competed [at WKU]. He remained calm and poised on the sideline and never got flustered by anything. We felt like he was seeing the field well. If his number's called upon again this week, I know he'll have another great week of practice and he'll be ready to go."
On facing a potent Western Michigan rushing attack …
"Every game is a battle and our guys know to come to work and practice for this football game. We have to limit the big plays. We have to tackle well."
