All-Access: Power Clean 300
June 28, 2017 | Football
Ball State Football Channelled its Inner Leonidas in the Weight Room Monday
Making every day in the weight room a little bit different is one of the exciting parts of the college football offseason. Â For the Ball State Cardinals, Monday was one of those days that was a little out of the ordinary. Â It was a max-out day, where the Cards were looking to power clean as much weight as possible. Â For a certain club of the Cardinals that meant lifting 300 pounds or more off the ground.
Now, cleaning 300 lbs in and of itself is a pretty impressive feat.  But why not take things a step further? Well, playing off the 300 theme, strength and conditioning coach Ben Armer brought the Hollywood blockbuster '300' into the picture.  With the movie's soundtrack blasting from the speakers and it's climactic moments playing on the weight room's televisions, the team got super amped up as their teammates shattered their personal bests....with some other Spartan themes involved.
Basically, this is one weightlifting recap that you're not going to want to miss.
