Track & Field's Regan Lewis Named Second Team All-MAC
February 28, 2017 | Track & Field
CLEVELAND, Ohio - - For her performance at last weekend's Mid-American Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships, Ball State sophomore high jumper Regan Lewis has been named to the All-MAC Second Team as announced today (Feb. 28) by the league office.
Â
Lewis earned Second Team All-MAC accolades after placing second in the high jump by successfully clearing the bar at a school-record height of 1.81m on her second attempt. The program's previous indoor record was 1.77m held by both Ashley Gillies (2002) and Susan Setlack (2000). With the effort, Lewis climbed to 20th in the nation in the event, just missing the top 16 which move on to the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Â
Next up for the Ball State track & field program is the start of the indoor season, which beings March 18 at the Stan Lyons Invitational hosted by Butler.
