Volleyball Places Seven on Academic All-MAC Squad

CLEVELAND, Ohio - - Seven members of the Ball State women's volleyball program were named to the 2017 Academic All-Mid-American Conference Women's Volleyball Team as announced by the league office.
Student-athletes with a 3.20 GPA who participate in at least 50 percent of their team's matches are named to the team. First-year players and junior college transfers are not eligible.
Leading Ball State's honorees is Bailey Baumer who was named to the team for a third consecutive year. The Cardinals also have three two-time award winners in Emily Holland, Jessica Lindsey and Lauren Schreiner.
The Cardinals were also represented by first-time recipients Kate Avila, Avery Devoe and Amber Seaman.
Avila was named to the team with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Ball State finished the 2017 season with a 19-11 overall record and won the MAC West Division Championship with an 11-5 league mark.
