Patchey Named MAC Co-Specialist of the Week

MUNCIE, Ind.-- Erin Patchey, a senior member of the Ball State gymnastics team has been honored by the Mid-American Conference for Co-Specialist of the Week.

"I'm excited that Erin, as a senior, has gotten the honor to be Specialist of the Week," said head coach Joanna Saleem. "She's worked really hard throughout her career and to be honored as she finishes her final season is a remarkable accomplishment."

The MAC honor of Specialist of the Week is awarded to gymnasts who compete in one, two or three events successfully during competition.

During last week's competition against Oregon State and Seattle Pacific, Patchey placed third on vault with a score of 9.800 and sixth of floor with a 9.775.

In conclusion to the Cardinals regular season, they travel to Raleigh, North Carolina to compete against NC State, Mar. 12. Tune in to watch your Cardinals take on the Wolfpack at 7 p.m.
