Cardinals Lead the MAC with Academic Honors

MUNCIE, Ind.-- A total of 51 student-athletes were honored with the Academic All-MAC team award Wednesday afternoon, 10 of which were Ball State gymnasts.
The Academic All-MAC award is for student-athletes who have excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for their specific sport.
"Part of my coaching plan is to develop a program that shows improvement and consistency each year in both academic and athletic success," head coach Joanna Saleem said. "We are doing that, and this group of student-athletes deserves the recognition that comes with success."
