Updated Parking Changes for Saturday’s Football Game
September 30, 2016 | Football
MUNCIE, Ind. – Heavy rains Friday afternoon have caused Ball State University to close down the $5 tailgating grass lot to cars for tomorrow's football game against Northern Illinois.
Fans wishing to tailgate in the grass lot can drop supplies off at the grass lot before finding another spot to park.
The asphalt lot adjacent to First Merchants Ballpark Complex will still be open to cars for tailgating. Fans interested in tailgating Saturday need to be sure to arrive early to secure one of those limited spaces.
A new alternative for football game parking is the C1 lot on campus (Cardinal Creek Tennis Courts and Worthen Arena). A free shuttle service will take fans from that lot to Alumni Drive of Scheumann Stadium. Please note tailgating is prohibited in the C1 parking area and all other lots on campus.
Lots open to the general public at 12:30 p.m. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
Saturday is also City of Muncie Day, and Military and Public Safety Appreciation Day at the football game. For more information on this special promotion, click here.
