October 14, 2016 | Cross Country
PEORIA, Ill. - - The fast times continued for the Ball State cross country team Friday, as all eight of the team's runners clocked in with career-best 6K times at the Newman Golf Course in the Women's Red Race of the 2016 Bradley "Pink" Classic.
In her first career 6K event, freshman Emily Tromp (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) led the Cardinals to the finish line for the third consecutive race and placed 84th among scored runners with a time of 22:22.7. Following Tromp to the finish line was redshirt freshman Stephanie McElhaney (Huntington, Ind./Huntington North) who clocked in just five second behind at 22:27.7 for a 93rd-place finish among the race's 208 scored runners.
