MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State baseball player Colin Brockhouse put up some impressive numbers this summer for the West Hampton Aviators. Those stats did not go unnoticed as he was named to Perfect Game's 2015 Summer Collegiate All-America team.
One of just three Mid-American Conference baseball players to earn praise on the list, the sophomore pitcher/third baseman helped guide the Aviators to a 26-15 record and a second place finish in the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League.
With the Aviators, Brockhouse turned in a 3.68 ERA on the mound and finished the summer ranked 11th in the league with a .322 batting average. He also ranked third in the league in doubles and in the top five for RBIs.
Brockhouse, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, started 25 games for the Cardinals this past spring and posted a .267 batting average with one home run and 12 RBIs. He also made 18 appearances on the mound where he finished with a 4-0 record and 6.50 ERA.
Brockhouse and the rest of the Cardinals compiled a 33-25 record in 2015 while advancing to the MAC championship game.
