Heisler Will Not Return As Track & Field/Cross County Coach

MUNCIE, Ind. - - The Ball State Athletics department announced Randy Heisler will not return as head coach of the track & field and cross country programs for the 2015-16 academic year.
"We want to thank Coach Heisler for his leadership of our track & field and cross country programs for the past nine years," Ball State director of intercollegiate athletics Mark Sandy said. "We appreciate his service to the university. The search for our next head coach will begin immediately."
In his nine seasons working with the track & field program, and eight coaching the cross country team, Heisler helped guide Ball State student-athletes to 12 Mid-American Conference indoor and 10 MAC outdoor event championships. In addition, three Cardinals combined to make seven appearances at NCAA Championship meets in his tenure.
