Scheumann Stadium Gets New Sprinturf Surface
June 01, 2015 | Football
Ball State's Scheumann Stadium received a new Sprinturf playing surface this summer and the Cardinals will open the season Thurs., Sept. 3 on the new surface.
“We are looking forward to breaking in the new Sprinturf playing surface this summer,” Ball State head football coach Pete Lembo says. “It certainly passes the eye test aesthetically. It should look terrific for our fans in attendance this fall and for our nationally televised games. Our student-athletes are anxious to begin using it on a daily basis. Prospects attending our summer campus will also get an opportunity to utilize the new field, which should add to their camp experience.”
The Cardinals will play six home games in 2015, including the opener vs. VMI. Ball State will also host Toledo, Georgia State, Central Michigan, UMass and Bowling Green in Scheumann Stadium this season.
