Football Reaches Halfway Point of Spring Practice
April 04, 2015 | Football
Ball State's football team completed its second week of Spring Practice Saturday and is only two weeks away from the April 18 Spring Game at 3 p.m.
Joel Godett took the opportunity to follow new wide receivers coach Alex Bailey through a practice as he begins his first year at Ball State tutoring the wide receivers.
The Cardinals return three starters at wide receiver -- KeVonn Mabon, Chris Shillings and Jordan Williams -- and a total of seven returning letterwinners at the position.
Bailey joined the staff this spring after spending the 2014 campaign as the wide receivers coach at Wayne State. A graduate of Youngstown State, Bailey also worked at Valparaiso, Dayton and Defiance.
The Cardinals open the season Thursday, Sept. 3 at Scheumann Stadium vs. VMI.
