Women?s Volleyball Opens Spring Season Saturday

MUNCIE, Ind. - - The Ball State women's volleyball team will open its four-date spring competition schedule Saturday, when it travels to Butler for an 11 a.m. showdown with the Bulldogs at legendary Hinkle Fieldhouse.
“After competing last fall without a senior on our roster, we are extremely excited to enter this spring with a team featuring six seniors,” Ball State head coach Steve Shondell said. “I have always believed you cannot replace experience. We will enter the 2015 season with a very experienced team, which will help us compete against some of the nation's finest volleyball programs we will battle over the next four weekends.”
The following Saturday (April 4), the Cardinals travel up I-69 to Fort Wayne for matches versus three more in-state rivals in IUPUI (12:15 p.m.), host IPFW (1:45 p.m.) and Valparaiso (3:15 p.m.).
The Cardinals close out spring competition with the University of Michigan Tournament (April 11 in Ann Arbor, Mich.) and the Indy Collegiate Invitational (April 18 in Indianapolis, Ind.).
