February 06, 2015 | Gymnastics
Ball State's gymnastics team returns to Mid-American Conference action with a 2 p.m. Sunday meet at Bowling Green.
The Cardinals are 0-1 in the MAC, while Bowling Green is also 0-1 on the year in league action. The Falcons were picked to finish second in the MAC in the coaches preseason poll.
Ball State has been led this season by Denasiha Christian, who is coming off a meet at Southern Utah where she won the floor with a 9.875 and tied for third on the vault with a 9.75.
"Denasiha put another solid performance on the competition floor on both vault and floor," Ball State head coach Joanna Saleem said. "That was the second meet in a row she won floor and placed in the top three on vault. She has been an important part of our lineup on two events."
After the Sunday meet at Bowling Green, Ball State will return home Feb. 13 for its Think Pink and Alumni Meet at 7 p.m. against Western Michigan in the Jo Ann Gora Student Recreation and Wellness Center.
