February 19, 2015 | Gymnastics
Ball State's gymnastics team will compete in Mid-American Conference action at Eastern Michigan Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Eagles are 8-1 overall and 2-1 in league competition, while Ball State is coming off a victory over Western Michigan and is 1-2 in the MAC. The Cardinals' meet at the EMU Convocation Center will be Senior Night for the Eagles' seniors.
Ball State tallied a 193.550 to 193.275 victory over Western Michigan last Friday night. The Cardinals claimed individual titles on three events, while sweeping the top three spots on the floor, which was their final event of the evening and clinched the victory.
When Eastern Michigan and Ball State compete Sunday afternoon, it will be a special meet for one Eagle and one of the Cardinals. Ball State's Sarah Ebeyer will see her older sister, Kimberly, on the opposing side. Both have been in their team's respective starting lineups throughout the year, competing on vault, beam and floor. Sarah Ebeyer has slightly edged her sister, recording season-highs of 9.800 on the vault, a 9.825 on the balance beam and a 9.825 on the floor.
Ball State will return for its final home meet of the season and its own Senior Night Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. vs. Northern Illinois.
