Gymnastics Hosting Red vs. White Exhibition Sunday

MUNCE, Ind. – Ball State's gymnastics team will host its annual Red vs. White Exhibition Sunday at 1 p.m. in the season's new location, Worthen Arena.

“I am very excited for the girls to compete in Worthen Arena this year,” Head Coach Joanna Saleem said. “It's an exciting transition for the team and the staff. The team has a lot of depth and potential to do big things, and now we can showcase our talent on a greater stage. For the Red vs. White meet we are excited to bring in popular figures from the community to help us score our routines. I hope to see a lot of energy from the girls, judges, and the crowd this weekend.”
The Cardinals have invited many celebrity judges from the community:
President Paul W. Ferguson: the president of Ball State University
Dr. Jeff Bird: the Vice president/ Chief Medical Officer and Chief Operating Officer of IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital
Dr. George Branam: Director of Laboratories and Director of the Pathology Residents Program at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital
Dr. Karen Lee: Senior Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator at Ball State University
Mrs. Dawn Miller: Principal of Burris Elementary School
Dr. Charlene Alexander: Associate provost for Diversity and a Professor of Counseling
Brooklyn Schumacher: Special Assistant to the President for communications here at Ball State University
Ball State gymnastics will travel to the University of Kentucky Jan., 8 at 7 p.m. for the start of their 2016 season.
