Baseball Set to Take Thanksgiving Trip to the Dominican Republic

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State baseball team is taking a special trip over Thanksgiving break to the Dominican Republic. The Cardinals will leave Muncie very early Wednesday morning and return stateside Sunday evening.
This is the first time the baseball team has taken this kind of trip. The Cardinals will play five scrimmages on their excursion as well as visit a sugar cane village, attend a winter league baseball game and visit an orphanage.
The game schedule is below:
Thursday, Nov. 26 – Games #1 and #2 vs. Mets (split squad), 10:30 a.m.
Friday, Nov. 27 – Game #3 vs. Escogido Reserve Squad, 10 a.m.
Friday, Nov. 27 – Game #4 vs. Dominican Military National Team, 2 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 28 – Game #5 vs. Royals, 10:30 a.m.

Ball State had a memorable 2015 campaign, compiling a 33-25 record and advancing to the MAC championship game.
