
Women's Swim and Dive Completes Day One at Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ball State women's swimming and diving team had a strong showing in the first day of competition at the Ohio State Winter Invitational. Senior Jackie Iglesias and freshman Courtney Mudd each earned two season-best times.
Iglesias finished fourth in the 100 bak finals with a 58.06 after clocking a season-best time of 57.79 in the preliminaries. Mudd earned sixth place in the event by clocking a 58.65 after she turned in a season-best in the preliminaries as well with a 58.44..
In the 100 free finals, Iglesias came in seventh place with a 54.74. Iglesias finished third during the preliminaries with a season-best time of 53.62. Mudd finished in eighth place in the finals with a 54.78 after posting a season-best 54.69 in the preliminaries. Freshman Genevieve Hayes earned 11th place with a 56.86. Hayes also competed in the 500 free where she finished fifth with a time of 5:24.64.
The Ohio State Winter Invitational will continue Sunday, Feb. 9 at the Bill and Mae McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.. Check ballstatesports.com for results.
